CarillionAmey Gender Pay Gap Report

All employers with 250 or more employees are now required by law to publish their gender pay gap each year on their own and the Government’s website.

The gender pay gap exists mainly because women tend to work in lower-paid occupations and sectors, and occupy less senior roles. Many women also take time out of the labour market and work part-time and tend towards an unequal sharing of care responsibilities.

The gender pay gap should not be confused with equal pay. Equal pay is the practice of paying men and women equally for performing the same or similar work or work of equal value.

CarillionAmey Modern Slavery 2018 Statement

A provision was introduced to the Modern Slavery Bill in November 2014 which will require businesses with a specific level of turnover to publish an annual modern slavery statement. The Modern Slavery Act will give law enforcement the tools to fight modern slavery, ensure perpetrators can receive suitably severe punishments for these appalling crimes and enhance support and protection for victims.

In this statement a business must describe the steps they have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any of their supply chains or their own business.
