Lianne Owens, Head of Occupancy and Solutions, and Jane Westhead-Reid, National Occupancy Services Manager, recently hosted the Allocations Panel at our Customer Service Centre in Speke for the 35 Engineer Regiment who will be rebasing from Paderborn, Germany, to the UK this summer.
Representatives of the Army Basing Programme from Army Headquarters attended the event in order to start planning for the rebasing in 2019, where around 4000 troops will return from Germany with their families. Lianne and Jane delivered a presentation which provided insight into what we do as a business.
They also received a tour of the Customer Service Centre and provided with an overview of our Helpdesk operations. Lieutenant Colonel Mark Harrison, Army Basing Transition Lead, provided an overview of plans for 2019 and beyond which was an invaluable insight into Army Service Family Accommodation requirements and timelines in the future.
The Allocations Panel provided a useful opportunity for any questions to be answered, ahead of the families being provided with their addresses in Catterick and Ripon. This is the first move for the Regiment so they were feeling apprehensive and wanted to know more about their transition from Germany to Service Family Accommodation in the UK. We received positive feedback following the panel and the families felt positive that their transition would be smooth.
John Reynolds, Military Housing Liaison Officer of the 4th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters, thanked Jane and Lianne for hosting the panel. He said, “I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday, the UNIT have gone away with confidence in the positivity and professionalism of CarillionAmey to deliver, and have complete faith that their families will transition from Germany into their new homes with no added issues.”
