10 August 2017: CarillionAmey help convert derelict building into a Multi Faith Room

Recently, ten members of staff from our Regional Prime South East team supported their community with a daunting project at Keogh Barracks, Mychett. It was the conversion of a derelict building into a ready for use multi faith room.

The team had a lot of support from our supply chain partners, BJF and CBS, as they provided much needed materials and access equipment. After an early start and quite a late finish, the building was transformed and pronounced ‘ready to go’ by the Regimental Quartermasters of the barracks, who were impressed with the work.

Our Service Delivery Area Manager, Adam Iles, reflected on how the project went, “It was a massive project over one day and everyone gave it their all.  I can honestly say, I have never worked with such a dedicated and committed team.  Everyone gave 100% and the end result is outstanding.  Never in my wildest dreams did I expect the standard of workmanship to be this good, from what essentially is a team of pen pushers! The building looks great and the end user was very impressed with the standard.”
