We recently worked with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and sub-contractor HAGS on a project on our National Housing Prime South East contract. The £58,000 project, in Dover, was to design and build a new play park and multi-use games area.
The area where the new park sits was tired and in need of a major refurbishment. John Colcombe, our Project Manager, worked on the project closely with Alex Pollock, our Area Contracts Manager, Roy Marsh, our Accommodation Officer, and Caroline Walker, DIO Service Delivery Accommodation to ensure it ran smoothly and was delivered to a high quality.
The refurbished park and multi-use games area was built next to a busy preschool. It has made a positive difference to the children living in and going to school in the area. The preschool told the team that they were happy with the new area and couldn’t wait to let the children use it.
Leon Wilson, Accounts Manager at HAGS, said, “It was a pleasure to work with CarillionAmey on this exciting new play area and multi-use games area refurbishment project, we have a long history of working on play and sports projects together and we love to see how these revitalised spaces become a hub for the community and make a real difference in creating active lifestyles for the local children.”
