This week, we were delighted to handover a cheque to SSAFA for £1,958.72 provided through our excellent partnership with Motivair, who provide compressed air services in our Regional Prime contracts.
Since teaming up with the Armed Forces charity three years ago, we’ve raised more than £183,000 and we are on target to reach our goal of £250,000 before the end of our contracts. We are extremely proud of the ongoing commitment and enthusiasm shown by our staff and supply chain partners who continue to take part in fundraising events in aid of our corporate charity partner, SSAFA.
Mark Davies, Motivair’s Contract Manager, attended the event that took place at the Defence Infrastructure Organisations’ (DIO) office in Sutton Coldfield, and said, “We’re really proud of the work we do on behalf of CarillionAmey on the Defence Estate in the Regional Prime contracts and it’s great to be able to give something back to those who work and live there.”
Adam Heal, our Head of Supply chain agreed and added, “We’re hugely reliant on our supply chain partners to deliver key services across our contracts and it’s testament to the open and honest relationship we have with them that these kinds of arrangements can be made.”
Lauren Thompson is SSAFA’s Corporate Partnerships Manager and accepted the cheque on SSAFA’s behalf. Lauren said, “I am delighted to receive this cheque on behalf of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, and thank Motivair for their incredible generosity. These funds will directly support our mentoring service for wounded, injured and sick military personnel; a vital service we would not be able to provide without support from our partners. Presentations like this are also a great reminder of what can be achieved when partnership activity is embedded across all areas of an organisation, and I would like to thank CarillionAmey for all of the work in supporting this donation.”
