We’re really proud of the work we do for our Armed Forces, and actively encourage our staff to volunteer in community projects that help to improve local facilities for the Service personnel that live on the Estate we maintain.
Earlier this week, a team from our Housing contract used their CarillionAmey volunteer day to help refurbish a local play park located at MOD Corsham in Wiltshire. The play park is used daily by local children who live on the camp, and although the equipment is solid, it was looking extremely tired.
The team, led by Luke Curtis, our Area Delivery Manager, spent a day preparing and cleaning the area before applying a fresh, new coat of paint to the play equipment. They were helped by some of the Unit personnel along with local Service families who came along to lend a hand.
Thanks to their hard work, the play park has been transformed into a bright, cheery and safe place for local children to let off steam!
Sgt Nicola Collins, from the Unit welfare team, thanked everyone for their efforts on the day and said “This is an extremely popular play park for the children who live on MOD Corsham and has now been returned to a clean and colourful condition.”
