23 November 2017: CarillionAmey’s supply chain partner puts the kettle on to raise funds for SSAFA

Everyone who works for, and with us is passionate about providing an excellent service to Service personnel and their families.

This is reflected in the huge support our staff and supply chain partners give to SSAFA. Thanks to their enthusiastic fundraising we’ve raised more than £168,000 for SSAFA’s mentoring programme, which helps those leaving the Services make a smooth transition from military to civilian life.

Workspace Technology provide maintenance services in our Regional Prime contracts and recently supported our drive to raise money for SSAFA by holding a Big Brew Up event, which sees family, friends and colleagues get together for tea and cake.

The event took place on 3rd November and brought suppliers, staff and local Councillors together to indulge in some home-made cake and take part in the Tea Taste Teaser to see if they could identify a selection of different teas. Local cadets also took part and escorted visitors onto the site at Sutton Coldfield.

James Davies, SSAFA’s Corporate Partnerships Account Manager, was delighted with the £500 that was raised and said “That’s a spectacular amount and enough to fund the training of a volunteer mentor, who help our wounded, injured and sick who are struggling with the transition to civilian life. These people change lives for the better and they are funded by the contributions of people and organisations like yourselves.”
