We’re delighted to share that members of our housing team in the South West successfully completed the Tough Mudder challenge last weekend, raising more than £1000 for SSAFA.
So far we have raised a massive total of £160,673.20 for SSAFA, which is being used for their mentoring service to support to Service personnel and their families as they make the transition from military to civilian life.
Luke Curtis, Chris Stevens, Rich Long, Amy Hunt, Jenni Will and Sharon Havard, along with Luke’s wife Felicity, completed the gruelling 12 mile course in just over four hours. As a team, they tackled every single obstacle and almost everyone managed to beat each one!
Luke, one of our Area Delivery Managers, organised the event. He said “It was incredibly tough at times and I have to say the Arctic Enema (plunging into a pool of freezing cold water) was not my favourite obstacle but as a team we all pulled together. The mile of mud and the hero wall were definitely an extreme test of teamwork.”
James Davis, our SSAFA Account Manager, was really impressed with their efforts and said “A huge thank you for supporting SSAFA. Our work with members of the Armed Forces, their families and veterans would not be possible without the support of CarillionAmey through our much-valued partnership.”
