We are currently working with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and our supply chain partner CLC Ltd to carry out the exterior refurbishment of 24 homes in the Central region of our National Housing Prime contract.
The refurbishment includes new roofs, fascias and soffits for the properties to improve insulation, keeping energy bills down, regulating temperatures and combating damp and mould issues. Occupants were able to stay in their homes during the works so we needed to make sure there was no disruption to their daily routine.
Our teams ensured excellent communication with the occupants so they knew where we were up to during each phase of the project. We issued letters prior to the works starting and occupants were given a plan of work with timelines, for when various parts of the project were going ahead and due to finish, for example.
Andrew Bruce, one of our Senior Project Managers, started the project and Danny Baxendell, our Senior Project Manager, is now running it and working collaboratively with Peter Catt, CLC’s Project Manager, DIO and the Unit representatives to ensure the project runs smoothly and is delivered to a high quality. The Unit were also kept up to date with regular meetings.
There have been no complaints from occupants who are staying in their homes while we work on them, noise is being kept to a minimum and roof upgrades have continued with no issues during inclement weather. One of our customers said, “I am very pleased with my new roof. The contractors were very courteous and professional, and the site is being well managed and run.”
