On Thursday 23rd November, Major General Benjamin Bathurst CBE, General Officer Commanding London District, took time out of his busy schedule to visit a major housing refurbishment project currently taking place at Regents Park Barracks, in London.

We’re delivering the project on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, which will see fifteen Service family properties at the Barracks transformed from tired, outdated homes into smart and modern places to live.

Each property is being extensively refurbished, with new internal walls, soundproof floors, walls and ceilings and full electrical installations. We’ll also be fitting new, modern kitchens, bathrooms suites, carpets and redecorating throughout.

Jas Kandola, our Project Manager, hosted the Major General during his tour of the project and said “It was a real honour to be able to show the Major General how we are progressing with works, and it really highlighted the great teamwork shown between the Regional Prime and Housing CarillionAmey teams, our supply chain partners and the Service personnel on site. All deliveries have to be carefully co-ordinated so as not to disrupt the day to day running of the Barracks.”

Major Jon Oxley, Quarter Master, has been helping to co-ordinate works on site and is delighted with the refurbishment so far

Regent’s Park Barracks is delighted to report the great work being done to the fifteen married quarters contained within the perimeter wall. The complete refurbishment of the quarters is clearly to a high standard and the disruption and impact during the work has been minimal. The entire CarillionAmey team, Alex Pollock, Dave Innes, Jas Kandola and Pam Sahota have been first class.  On behalf of the Head of Establishment, Regent’s Park Barracks, we would like to thank the team for their continued support and efforts so far and very much look forward to completion in March 2018 ”.
